The Initial Challenge

Managing such a large-scale cloud ecosystem brought key challenges. Strix needed to proactively monitor vulnerabilities and security configurations in AWS, while also detecting unusual or potentially malicious access to accounts and cloud services. It was also essential to comply with internal and regulatory audits, ensuring continuous controls across multi-account AWS environments. In addition, the company sought to reduce reliance on specialized cybersecurity teams to resolve recurring operational incidents.

Implemented Solution

DinoCloud deployed Rex Copilot, integrated into Strix’s AWS environments with a focus on Cloud Security Operations. This implementation enabled the company to query critical configurations such as IAM, Security Groups, and roles in natural language, while receiving proactive security alerts and recommendations (e.g., exposed keys, unpatched instances, public S3 buckets). Integration with CloudTrail and GuardDuty allowed for automated correlation of suspicious events, while compliance and audit reports were automatically generated in line with AWS Well-Architected standards and local regulatory frameworks. The solution also enabled faster incident response through automated diagnostic and initial remediation workflows.
